Arctic Wolf

Appearance and Adaptations:
The Arctic wolf is about 1 meter tall and has long white fur covering its entire body. Arctic wolf pups have short gray fur, resembling little dogs, and are very cute. The Arctic wolf's limbs are relatively short and thick, which helps maintain its body temperature and reduce heat loss. Two key characteristics of its fur are camouflage and warmth. One way the fur helps the Arctic wolf adapt to its environment is that it is the same color as the snow, providing camouflage. Another way the fur helps it survive is by keeping it warm, as it has two layers. The outer layer is thick, resisting cold air and repelling water, while the inner layer acts as insulation, keeping the wolf warm.
